A Musical Treat ・DomraPiano
Dr. Heinz Linduschka Main-Echo 29. Nov 2011
Sulzbach.
There
are
concerts,
because
you
regret
every
music
lover,
who
stayed
at
home
for
whatever
reason.
On
Saturday
evening,
the
Duomo
DomraPiano
in
the
Sulzbach
St.Anna
church
took
90
minutes
to
enthrall
the
visitors
in
the
church
to
true
enthusiasm
storms.
The
applause
after
each
title
would
have
passed
in
normal
concerts
loosely
as
a
final
applause.
The
reason
for
this
euphoria,
which
is
rather
rare
to
find
in
classical
music
concerts:
the
duo
Domra
Piano
the
young
Domravirtuosin
Natalia
Anchutina
from
Moscow
and
her
congenial
companion
on
the
wing,
born
in
Aschaffenburg
Lothar
Freund,
offered
a
musical
journey
through
three
centuries,
not
only
for
Cheers,
but
often
also
for
incredulous
amazement
and
admiring
mumbling
provided.
In
fact,
it
was
almost
unimaginable
what
Natalia
Anchutina
offered
on
the
Domra
as
she
merged
with
the
instrument
into
a
single
entity.
The
young,
elegant
musician
has
found
the
ideal
complement
in
pianist
Lothar
Freund.
Freund,
a
piano
accompanist
of
international
repute,
always
found
exactly
the
right
tone,
provided
the
basis
for
the
high-altitude
flights
of
the
Domra,
was
once
again
a
dialogue
partner
at
eye
level
and
always
hinted
that
he
could
also
be
an
outstanding
soloist
on
the
piano.
Another
stroke
of
luck:
Lothar
Freund
is
also
a
gifted
presenter.
Very
sympathetic,
with
a
gentle
voice
and
varied
presentation,
he
entertainingly
informed
between
the
individual
contributions
about
the
peculiarities
of
the
Domra,
about
the
literature
presented
and
made
it
clear
again
and
again
in
what
atmosphere,
in
which
environment
the
Domra
could
begin
its
triumphal
procession.
It
was
a
look
into
the
Russian
soul
without
the
common
clichés,
which
was
refreshing
and
enlightening at the same time.
