Natalia Anchutina
studied at the Gnessin Academy of Music in Moscow,
graduating in 2004 with highest honours. She then launched
a brilliant solo concert career with the most renowned
directors and orchestras of Russia, as well as appearances in
Russian television and radio. In 2004 she won first prize in the
“Cup of the North”
International Folk Instruments Performers
Competition in Cherepovetz (Russia), since which time
she has been widely regarded in Russia as the
best up-and-coming musical artist on the domra. Music
critics and audiences alike have been delighted by
her extraordinarily rich sound and expressiveness.
A special focus of her artistic activities is her
work with contemporary composers.
